1. We get personal. We take the time to get to know each and every one of our candidates and clients on a personal level, because finding the right match for the long-term requires deeper conversation than a simple job description review or skills assessment of a candidate.
2. We are proactive. Will there be a job posting? Yes. But more than 95% of our successful Placements over the last decade have been with candidates who have either been referred to us or we have actively sourced.
3. We care. At Cormack, we are in it for the long haul. We want to be your PARTNER in all things People and get to know your business inside and out. We work in partnership with your existing HR team, not in place of them. We are an extension of your business and we an invested in its long-term success.
Absolutely! At Cormack, your privacy is paramount. That's why we don't specifically promote your brand in our job postings. We only disclose the name of your business during our introductory calls with prospective candidates we have either sourced directly or those who have applied, if you are comfortable with us doing so. We are also able to conduct completely confidential recruitment, where we don't share the name of the business with prospective candidates until we have conducted a formal interview for the role and shortlisted them for submission to you.
Our incredibly flexible rates and payment plans are designed to fit into nearly any budget. Typically, we charge a percentage of the successful candidate's base salary, but we also offer competitive flat rates for our services. Regardless of the fee structure we land on, Cormack is a contingency-based agency, meaning there is absolutely NO CHARGE associated with our services until we actually place a candidate in role for you..
At Cormack, we take great pride in our industry-leading turnover rate. Less than 1% of the candidates we have placed since 2015 resigned or were terminated within their first year of employment. That being said, we do have a safety net in place, just in case. Every search conducted by Cormack comes with a minimum 3-month guarantee, meaning if the candidate resigns or isn't the right overall fit, we give you the option of a 50% refund of your search fees, OR we will happily conduct a one-time replacement search at no additional cost.
Technically, no. At Cormack, we recruit at all levels, with companies in various industries all across Canada. If you look at our Client roster, you'll notice that we have worked with large corporations and small businesses, but the one thing that the vast majority of them have in common is their approach to doing business. We pride ourselves on partnering with ethically run businesses that offer exceptional customer service and/or deliver high-quality products.
We absolutely LOVE working directly with Canadian Entrepreneurs to help them scale their businesses and discover the right roles to hire at the right times, then going to market to find them the perfect match.
Unfortunately, Cormack is only licensed to facilitate recruitment domestically across Canada. Therefore, to be considered for employment with any of our Employer Partners, Job Seekers must be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents or already in possession of an Open Canadian Work Permit

The short answer to this question is YES, but the real answer is a bit more complex.
Cormack is NOT a Staffing Agency; we are a Recruitment Firm. The difference between the two is that Staffing Agencies do mostly temporary work and will be able to find you a job often in relatively short order, depending on your skill set. A Recruitment Firm (that's us) has a roster of Cllients that have specific needs, and we then go to market to find Candidates to fill those needs. That obviously requires that we have a pool of Candidates to reach out to, but we don't go to market to find YOU a job; we have a job that we go to market to find Candidates to fill.
