  • Amanda Cox - President

    After a progressive career in both corporate and agency recruitment, Amanda joined Cormack in its infancy as Lead Recruiter in 2016. Nearly 5 years later, Amanda acquired the business from her friend and mentor, Annabelle Cormack, and transitioned into her current role as President & Recruitment Expert. Under Amanda's leadership, Cormack has continued to operate on the foundation of the original four pillars; Integrity, Flexibility, Quality, and Collaboration.


    As a two-time award Nominee at the 2022 and 2023 Alberta Women Entrepreneurs Awards, Amanda continues to exemplify the values on which Cormack was founded. Her unwavering focus on the Client and Candidate Experience sets her apart as a Recruiter and President, and her commitment to innovation within the business to better manage the support of Candidates and Clients is second to none. While her responsibilities as President limit her capacity to mostly Executive Recruiting searches, her love for the recruitment process shines through in her work as an Executive. She always enjoys working directly with Clients and Candidates whenever possible and makes time in her busy schedule to do so.


    Together with her team, Amanda strives to be an active presence in the community, finding ways to give back through Cormack whenever possible. Whether it’s promoting a local small business, organizing a charity drive or simply going the extra mile to help a Job Seeker put together their best possible resume, Amanda is committed to building Cormack into a brand that you can trust.

  • Jason Brown - Director of Recruitment Operations

    Throughout his career, Jason has worked in a wide variety of industries and positions, each more different than the last. As diverse as his resume may be, Jason will be the first to tell you that there was a common goal in each of those experiences - learn the ins and outs of WHY and HOW the businesses run and from there, identify the best possible way to increase efficiency and maximize profit while maintaining exceptional service at all levels.  His time at Cormack would prove to follow the same pattern.


    Jason officially joined Cormack in June of 2022 and, despite his lack of practical HR experience, was able to fully immerse himself in the business as our Recruitment Assistant and, just a few short months later, start to offer recommendations for improvement to support the overall growth of the Cormack brand.  Later that year, Jason took on his next challenge embracing the role of Communications & Efficiency Expert.  Here, Jason worked to revamp the overall strategy for our social media and marketing program at Cormack while simultaneously leading the research, development and launch of a new ATS system for the business.


    On his 1-year anniversary with Cormack in June 2023, Jason officially joined the leadership team as our Recruitment & Operations Manager where he continued to add value to the company through ongoing process optimization which allowed us to significantly improve our overall recruitment experience. In September 2024, Cormack officially welcomed Jason onto our Board of Directors where today, he continues to function as an integral part of both the Recruitment and Operations Teams.  With a focus on optimizing our Candidate, Client and Internal Team Member experiences, Jason continues to add value to Cormack and provide valuable services to our Clients through the sharing of his strategic mindset, collaborative approach to leadership and emphasis on operational excellence, ultimately paving the path for growth at all levels in businesses of any size.

  • Kelela Shaw - Fractional Marketing Manager

    With a passion for all things creative, Kelela’s love of graphic design and video editing blossomed during her time in the Motion Picture Arts program at Red Deer Polytechnic. Over the course of the next decade, Kelela would immerse herself in online tutorials and take on a variety of contract positions to hone her skills, while also obtaining an Advanced Makeup Artistry diploma and working as a freelancer in various departments in the film industry. When initially taking the leap into Marketing full-time, Kelela joined Cormack as our Marketing Specialist in September 2022. In partnership with our Director of Recruitment Operations, Jason Brown, Kelela worked to cultivate and curate the content for all our social media platforms at Cormack. 


    Over time, Kelela’s creativity and dedication to both the education and engagement of our followers resulted in the expansion of her role to include website management, video content creation and blog writing.  In March 2024, Kelela was officially promoted into the role of Digital Marketing Expert, where she became accountable for the full scope of our digital footprint. 


    As of September 2024, Kelela will produce content for us on an Ad-Hoc basis as our Fractional Marketing Manager, and will continue to elevate our brand through the development of creative, inspirational, and engaging content that provides value for both Candidates and Employers alike.

Our History

Cormack Recruitment was born in May of 2015 in beautiful British Columbia. Our Founder, Annabelle Cormack started the company with the intent to create a truly unique recruitment experience for all involved. Over the years, Cormack has developed a reputation for providing a more attentive, flexible and personalized level of service to support Employers and Candidates alike throughout the entire Employee lifecycle, not just the Recruitment Process


As we celebrated 7 years in business, Cormack Recruitment became simply Cormack – YOUR Recruitment & HR Experts. We are proud to continue our tradition of providing exemplary service, now in all aspects of HR and beyond.
